‘The Crash’ by Stephen McLaren. 112pp hardcover, cloth spine, gold foiled, 199 x 139 mm
As Featured in Creative Review and Huck Magazine
This book is also available to buy as a Collector's Edition here
In 2008 the financial crash hit the City of London. Panic filled the air and people working for the giant money machine seemed oblivious to a photographer working quickly and quietly in their midst. Now, over a decade later, these images question what we have learned... if anything at all.
Stephen McLaren moved to Bethnal Green in 1996, became a photographer, and quickly realised he never wanted to live anywhere else in London other than the East End. Stephen has written a number of books on photography, including 'Photographers’ Sketchbooks', and currently works as a photographer and writer in Los Angeles.

'British Family Escapes: An Opinionated Guide' by Alice Tate. 240pp, hardback, 145 x 209mm.
Have kids, will travel. This is an opinionated guide to the very best (and most stylish) family getaways in Britain: places where kids are warmly welcomed and not just tolerated. Spend a few days barefoot and wild on the Welsh coast, give little ones a taste of silver service in the New Forest, or hunker down with s’mores and a campfire in Scotland.
Following on from Hoxton Mini Press’ highly successful series of pocket-sized, paperback Opinionated Guides, and the popular 'British Boutique Hotels', this sumptuous, larger hardback is part of a growing series of guides to Britain: with more detailed write-ups, more stunning photography, and even more opinion.
